So this bridge is a 3/4 scale exact replica of the famous Golden Gate. It was a low slung highway inn, not a flashy casino. It did have several slot machines in the lobby and rooms were 2 dollars a night. This old structure was used in the 1860's as part of a mining operation that mined Borax from the Valley floor. Borax used to be a very valuable mineral when it was used for cleaning and preserving among other things. This village sits on top of the highest hill in Paris France. The statue was found on the Greek Isle of Milos over 1700 years later. Venus is the goddess of love in Roman mythology as Aphrodite is to the Greeks. I took this image in the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. He was designed to scare enemies away from the city. Nobody knows what happened to the Mayans. The most amazing thing about Notre Dame Cathedral to me is that it was built over a 200 year period starting in the 1200's.
